According to one NFL draft guru they will have 6 picked in first round.
I’d be wary of Matt Jones in round 1. It’s what I call the Leinhart Rule . Jones does not have a great arm. Is not a particularly accomplished runner. It’s hard to gauge how accurate he is. Cause he seldom has to throw in a tight window. And he is seldom under pressure. He was something like 25-30 for 345 yards in the first half. And I can’t recall a tough throw. His supporting cast is so good that it’s very tough to determine how good he is. He’s not a guy whose skills jump off the page. So how will he do when he’s not surrounded by talent that is vastly superior to the poor schmucks that have to defend them.
Id pass on him unless he is around in the mid to late second.
Same recruiting class as Davis Mills. Mills was higher, Jones was an also ran. Jones rarely misses and sees the field really well. Hate to see it happen, but he'd be a perfect fit for a Belichick offense. Like the kid. A lot.
But for health issue, Mills is better.
