The four most important statistics in basketball:
Effective field goal percentage (field goals + 0.5 three point field goals/attempts divided by field goal attempts)
Offensive rebound percentage (offensive rebounds divided by missed shots)
Defensive rebound percentage (defensive rebounds divided by opponent's missed shots)
Turnover percentage (turnovers divided by total offensive possessions)
So why don't more sources publish these numbers,
rather than insisting on raw field goal percentage, number of offensive and defensive rebounds, a number of turnovers?
(Is it money? That there's no money in going to the added effort of computing these numbers
based on the immediately available raw numbers?)
And for women's basketball, is there a source that publishes these numbers?
