Dads and kids connecting thru sports reminds me of the movie Field of Dreams. There was a 25th anniversary special about the movie, filmed on the field which apparently has been maintained as a baseball field all that time because of people wanting to visit it and have a catch. The power of the movie over such a long period of time is amazing. One story Kevin Costner told in the special was of a man who contacted him to relate how his father, in his last days of life, just wanted to watch that movie with his son over and over, which they did.
