I absolutely agree.  The people who think that the unending debate over colege football supremacy is a good thing are the same people who think that umpires missing calls that change the outcome of a baseball game is a desirable part of baseball tradition.  Maybe the NFL could end the season on an arbitrary date, and then schedule a Super Bowl between teams with the most vocal fan base--we could watch New York and Dallas every year!
