Much has been made, and rightfully so, about the starting rotation the Stanford Cardinal is bringing into Tallahassee for this weekend's Super Regional.

Led by 6-foot-5 ace Mark Appel, the No. 8 overall pick in the Major League Baseball Draft, the Pac-12 power has one of the top pitching staffs in all of college baseball. Brett Mooneyham, a 6-5 lefty, is the No. 2 starter for Stanford and was selected in the third round of the draft by the Nationals. The team has an overall ERA of 3.21.

But it's not going to be a one-staff show in Tallahassee this weekend.

The Florida State Seminoles, thanks to terrific debut seasons by freshmen Brandon Leibrandt and Mike Compton, have been putting up impressive pitching numbers as well.
