-12 is indeed the number - but we never got there. We finished at -8, in 7th. The difference between our squad and those that qualified is each of them had one or more individuals in the top 10. The guys who played did OK. The team shot under par each round and Menon did more than you could expect, with a T-21. But if Shimp and Brown were available, I have to think our score would have been 4-6 strokes better, which gets us into the top 5.
In the end, the team did just as I expected at the start of the year - made it to regionals but not to the championship. Next year I expect them to be one level better.
Now, let's watch Rachel Heck lead the Stanford women to the natty!
