FWIW - I would be more than OK if Stanford University had a similar requirement for attending football games at Stanford Stadium. Or alternatively those without vaccinations could be assigned to sections in the upper deck of the sunny side. ;)
For a reunion event the logistics could be fairly easy. They could leverage the Stanford Honor Code. Alternatively, they could issue tickets only to alums that submit a scanned image of their vaccination card(s) as part of the registration process.
A reunion weekend with participants from all over the nation (and the world) would be a very efficient way to spread new variants. It would be awful if the sophomores (Class of 2024) had to leave campus mid-Autumn quarter because of an outbreak caused by reunion festivities. That potential scenario alone should drive alums to do everything possible to make sure the Class of 2024 gets to enjoy these next 3 quarters on campus.
