I am not optimistic about the Director's Cup.
(a) We got zero points in WSoc and WVB, two sports in which we traditionally score very well. To score well in a sport, making and going deep into the tournament is important. Not making the tournament at all really hurts..
(b) In some sports (MWP, WWP, and WSW, IIRC) some of our better athletes took the year off to prepare for the Olympics (which, ironically, may still be cancelled). Though our teams made the tournament in those sports, we might have done better.
