Sadly that aligns with my suspicion.
Texas has been doing well in a lot of championships in the last 6 weeks.
Track & Field is not as easy as swimming to predict, but Texas should get lots of OTF points because they have a number of athletes that are likely to make their event finals.
However if Texas wins it should elevate the NACDA Directors’ Cup profile. Which may be needed.
I suspect this is also why the NACDA decided rather late in the academic year to have a cup this year.
