Who had the keys?
If they were in the ignition or on Skov's person, then suspicions are warranted.
If the "designated driver" still had them, then that lends more plausibility to his story.
I'm assuming the cops probably checked this already. And we all know what we would think if this report came out of Georgia or Miami or South Central.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, so it ends up being a cheap lesson. With luck, one that will leave a lasting impression.
