Good morning friends, its hard to believe that in 5 weeks all the girls will be back at their home universities to begin training for their quest for a NC. Hopefully, co-vid will not hamper our ability to have important OOC games between the blue-bloods of the WBB world. Last year every afternoon preceding a game I was nervous that it would be cancelled, and a couple of times it was. Putting that behind us, this past summer has been pretty interesting with the new recruits coming in, the Portal, and the coaching changes. So, taking all that in consideration, who do you think has the best chance of challenging Stanford for the NC this coming year?
I would first of all rank Stanford #1 based on what they still have, and of course, the defending NC.
UConn would be their toughest challenger, with the 7 freshmen becoming sophomores, and the addition of Dorka from Ohio State and the freshmen Azzi Fudd and Caroline Ducharme.
South Carolina would be next, with the addition of Cardosa from Syracuse, moving Boston to the 4
Number 4 and 5 could be Louisville and NC State. I took Baylor out with the defection of Kim and a couple of players, including their top recruit who decided to stay in Arkansas.
So, what do you think, who is in your top 5, or at least, top 3, and can they unseat the present NC?
