I wonder if an iPad or equivalent would work if you have one, just anything that you can download the Stanford app onto. Just don't know if you need a "wallet" app too.
Or you could request a paper ticket from the ticket office

A tablet should work. I don't know Apple products, but certainly with Android you can run the same apps on phone or tablet.

A smartphone with only wifi and no data plan, or even no phone service at all would work too. Basically you'd use it like a small tablet.
