I was hoping for a Gaffney two-fer return, but that might have thrown a wrench in Shaw's careful schollie calculations.

It has no effect, really--Gaffney would have been a senior, so the spot is there in 2013 regardless. The main consequence for the team in 2012 is that some lucky walk-on will get a scholarship for a year. Which is nice.
