I'd only worry if there is no deal in place by August 31.  If Viacom and DirecTV can come to an agreement, so to can the Pac-12 Network and DirecTV.  I fully expect a deal to get done.  Though it would be cool to watch the Pac-12 Network on DirecTV when it launches, the fact is the only time I will really care is if I can't see Stanford play San Jose State on Friday night, August 31.
