I agree with this sentiment; at first I was unsure if I was just mistaking Shaw's more understated personality for a more conservative approach than JH, but a year's worth of playcalling, crystallized in the Fiesta Bowl, gives proof to it. I don't think we'll ever see Shaw go for two against USC, which is unfortunate, but as long he wins that's fine. I honestly don't have enough information to judge Nunes vs Nottingham, but its clear he was making a decision with regards to minimize risk rather than maximize benefit, and I think that's a dangerous outlook for a leader.
