Bad news. Now the reports are that a deal appears unlikely before the season kicks off. The link to the full article is below, but here's the nitty-gritty:
It seems the general sticking point is the regional networks. To be honest, that's no surprise. It might've been a bit presumptuous on the part of the Network to assume DirecTV would open up five or six channels in addition to the flagship channel. Until now I had been ignoring all the bad news and just assuming that everything would work out. Now I have no idea how I'm going to be able to watch the San Jose State game. I love DirecTV, I love the idea of the Pac-12 Networks, but I hate that they can't get along.
