I think you would have to put Tennessee ahead of Stanford, wouldn’t you?  The transitive rule doesn’t work in college sports, but in the absence of more information, you would have to pick a team that was 2-0 against common opponents and had no other losses over a team that was 0-2 against the same two teams.
