Please remember that if we talk about campus politics to make sure to do so only in the context of the potential impact on recruiting. Whether “wokeness” is a good thing or a bad thing is beyond the scope of this board.
My guess is that it’s impact on recruiting is minimal. For every player who rolls their eyes at campus politicos (or is repelled by it), there is probably one who supports it.
Tangentially related, I will note that after Rolovich was fired for not being vaccinated, his team went on to play better under the interim (now signed for five years) coach.
