DWP was never an athletic huuge guy. Baylor had a kid almost as big at NG who was athletic and made plays. UDub always has a big NG who can play. Good run defense starts at that position. Stanford didn't have it.
I think Stanford as a whole gave up and surrendered the last few games.
On offense Yurosek, Tremayne, Higgins and at times Humphries stood out. Nobody else. Jury is out on McKee IMHO. On defense only Kelly (at times).
Normally there are a few young prospects who look like top contributors going forward. Hard to find any. Wyrick? Farrell? Filkins? Gilman? Armitage, Aybar and Keneley didn't play enough. Karty possibly a long range weapon.
With a less rigid coach I'd expect to see a bunch of true frosh play next year. Shaw might have to use them.
