How good is USC?  3 in the top 50 and 4 in the top 100, would, at the surface, suggest this is a team to be reconned with.  Then again, I think the caveats you added go both ways, and it is possible that they just had a very good fall, no?

They're really good, and while I don't think they're quite this good, they have the talent to be a legitimate title contender. Cayetano is a dangerous #2 singles player, but she's not the #1 player in the country. She had a great fall. I think we're a bit better than USC, but really, it's by a hair. That'll be a great battle this spring. 

It's been a few years since we've had a top four in the Pac-12 that all have the horses to challenge for a national title, but I think we're there this year, with the four California schools. Can't wait!
