Can someone explain to me how U Conn can be listed as a co-host for the Bridgeport region (which appears to be the case) and be placed in that region for the NCAA tournament. I thought the rule was that a team couldn't be placed in a region it was hosting/co-hosting. This certainly was the case a few years back on a rule change that meant Stanford could no longer participate in a regional it hosted at Maples. Have the rules changed again more back to where they were? Or is it incorrect that UConn is an official co-host for Bridgeport?
