Realized that I hadn't addressed central premise of thread. If I had to guess, I think #2 is most likely, but with such a limited dataset, it's hard to tell. The schedule-makers didn't do us a favor by putting the Trojans so early, but after being anti-early-bye, I'm now a bit more ambivalent about it (if it is, in fact, #2).
