So what's the best play for Austin Jones?

Stay at USC and get limited PT as RB2 unless Dye gets hurt?
Reenter the portal and hope for greener pastures as RB1?
Return to Stanford and, like the prodigal son, proclaim "Coach, I have sinned against heaven and Stanford" and beg for his schollie back?

I'm assuming that AJ is currently enrolled at Stanford and in good standing, since he only entered the portal last week.

If he were to re-enter the portal, he could certainly find another P5 school to be RB1 at. He's a West Coast guy, so I'd guess he'll still want to stick around. Oregon State and Wazzu both lose their RB1 and offered.

FWIW, Nathaniel Peat is already enrolled at Mizzou and was officially announced by the team as a transfer. That move made perfect sense for him (sans the degree).
