I would not read too much into that 2010 Wake Forest game because Wake's defense was atrocious any time of day. I was in Winston-Salem to see the Deacs beat Duke 54-48 the week before. They also gave up 62 to Maryland and about 49 to Virginia Tech in the first half.
I don't see the start time or the scouting report from SJSU--Coach Mac was previously Duke's DC under Cutcliffe--factoring into this game. Stanford won the relative recruiting battle for the 2008-2010 classes, and a number of key Duke players were injured before camp started, particularly on defense. Almost any margin in this game would not surprise me.

Looking forward to my trip. Saturday starts with a trip downtown to see a few sites by cable car, then by BART for an early college football game, and finally by Caltrain to our game. ;) Here's to an injury-free game between two bowl teams.
