Over at the UCLA BRO site, there are posts about their tennis players offering lessons to fans at $100+/hr. So it is OK to be a “teaching pro” but not a “playing pro”? Aren't both teaching and playing pros making money off their skills in their sport?

For decades, college athletes have been teaching at summer camps with their coaches. They get paid, they often get housing paid for as well, and they have time to a) practice, and b) take a class or two to help them take less of a load during seasons and still graduate "on time."
