I thought they both were going aggressively for the ball. I don't think she was intentionally trying to hurt Lacie. It's amazing Lacie got up and continued playing after banging her shoulder.
As for the Lacie’s collision with the scorer’s table…
While not saying the SC player was intending harm, her aggressive defense (reckless abandon) resulted in her diving into Lacie’s back with no chance of touching or recovering the ball. It was poorly timed, over-aggressive, and could have caused a serious injury. No, it wasn’t just a part of playing the game.
