Please no to Jarron Collins. He has never coached in college and has never recruited. Furthermore he was let go by the Warriors after last season and had to go to the lowly Pelicans. I don't care if he gets Stanford. That is insufficient to get this job.
I follow the Warriors pretty closely and never got the sense that Jarron was "let go." He was a long-time assistant behind a bunch of other assistants (well, Mike Brown for sure and arguably others) and left to seek out opportunities to move up.
In any case, I would hire Jarron in a second! Sure, my dream coach is a successful young HC from a mid-major looking to make a move to a power 5 school like Monty back in the day, but I'm skeptical that we can attract those types of guys these days let alone Muir doing a good job of it. But a young-ish, successful NBA assistant who is an alum and former NBA player could be gold. Think we need to take some chances here, and Jarron ticks a lot of boxes (on paper admittedly since he hasn't been a HC) in terms of recruiting and basketball chops.
