I don't know each player's individual selection criteria but I assume all four of those players came in (or are coming in) with NFL aspirations, so it seems that comparable prospects are signing up for Stanford now. McCaffrey's class (2014) was ranked 13th nationally, Love's class (2015) was ranked 24th nationally and the most recent class (2022) was ranked 18th nationally, that's all we can really go on in answering your question.
