Some thoughts...
1) It seems highly unlikely ND would be willing to give up its annual Thanksgiving weekend trip to California.
2) it seems ND needs Stanford more than Stanford needs ND.
I'm fairly certain Stanford fans would love home and homes with the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, etc.
