I try not to think about the state of the basketball program now vs. the past.  Too depressing.

Want to feel even worse about things post-Montgomery?  Recall that for Dawkins' Tourney run, four of his five starters were future NBA players.  If Embiid had been healthy for Kansas when we played them in the round of 32, we probably wouldn't have made the sweet 16.  We went on to get beaten solidly by 11-seed Dayton in the sweet 16.  No one on that Dayton team ever played in the NBA.  In retrospect, even our best success in the last 12 years looks pretty underwhelming.
