I don't think any school outside of the MPSF has ever received an at-large bid. 4 schools from the MPSF (the champ and 3 at-large) are likely to get bids.Quote:I presume it is the same as the men's. Only 3 MPSF teams went to the fall's MWP NCAA championships. Stanford stayed home.
Last year, USC, Stanford, UCLA, and ASU went to the NCAA tournament as the top 4 seeds.
MT - are you talking about Men's Water Polo? "Last year" for WWP was spring, 2021. 10 teams (including the SCIAC champ Cal Lutheran), 3 at large berths. USC, Stanford, UCLA, and ASU went to the NCAA tournament.
2019 - 10 teams, 3 at large berths. USC, Stanford, UCLA and Cal all went to the NCAA tournament.
2018 - 10 teams, 3 at large berths. USC, Stanford, UCLA and Cal all went to the NCAA tournament.
2017 - 10 teams, 3 at large berths. USC, Stanford, UCLA and Cal all went to the NCAA tournament.
Yep, obviously I was wrong when I assumed the men's and women's selection criteria would be the same.
