I don't know what was more disappointing: the fact that the offense kept forcing the pass really early in the game when it just wasn't happening or that the defense couldn't overwhelm a patchwork UW offensive line.

You're kidding, right?  UW was selling out to stop the run.  You have to pass at least some of the time when the defense is playing like that.

And Stanford's defense did overwhelm UW's line, over and over again.  But if you keep sending the defense out there that much, eventually the other team is going to score.

This one's not on the playcalling or on the defense.  It's on the passing game.

Oh well. Next up is 'zona.

Yep.  Still a chance for a very good season.  If you'd told me at the start of the season that we'd be 3-1 after 4 games, I would have been OK with that.
