Why is this a source of optimism? If a player has a mechanical issue with their throw, you can work through it, to varying degrees. But if you are "flinching" or just not in a good place mentally, that seems like an issue unlikely to right itself quickly. If beating U.SC didn't give Nunes confidence, I'm not sure anything will.
