I won't swear to how "new" these are, but they are new to my playlist:
Khruangbin - People Everywhere (Still Alive) and Maria Tambien [pandemic late night work sessions]
Allah-Las - Raspberry Jam
Tijuana Panthers - NOBO
Deadbolt - El Paso ('Scariest band in the world' from the non-scary San Diego, California, U.S.A.)
The Surfrajettes - Toxic (Yep a Brittney Spears song is tolerable when done by all-female Canadian Dick Dale band)
Black Pumas
Soulkid#1
Roy Buchanan - Soul Dressing (Live)... err yeah, live in 1976 or so. But it is the most recent addition to the playlist. Love this version. (That guy needs a biopic....) My parents had a Hammond B3 in the house as my mom accompanied the church choir and it was, you know, the 1970s. I think trying to learn that stunted my growth as an international guitar hero. At least that is my theory.
