Last year, our QB’s were sacked 32 times in 404 pass attempts plus times sacked), a rate of 7.9%, or roughly once in 12-13 dropbacks.
While that’s still really bad, it’s not Edwards level bad. Given that all OL are coming back, it is reasonable to expect some improvement, so I don’t think it is a given that McKee’s date will be as bad as Edwards.

McKee was sacked 25 times in 358 dropbacks last season, a rate of just under 7% or once every 14.3 dropbacks. McKee's sack rate by itself would rank #47 in the FBS last year. Not only was it not as bad as Edwards, it wasn't bad period.
Jack West accounted for the other 7 of those 32 sacks, in just 40 dropbacks over 2 games. Truly, mind-numbingly awful.
Thanks; I didn’t have access to the individual sacked numbers, and assumed (wrongly, it turns out) that West didn’t skew the numbers too badly. Boy was I wrong.
By the way, not all of the sacks/dropbacks in 2005 were Edwards; I think he was injured and Ostrander(?) also played. However, I chose 2005 because that was the year Edwards had the most passing attempts in his career.
