I suspect you're talking about Michael Craven. The 247 evaluation for Hinton puts him significantly lower than Craven's reputation, which was indeed rarefied. Craven was a really big disappointment.

Plenty of plausible guesses to your question though. Noor Davis. Curtis Robinson (misused). Blake Lueders (eventually a serviceable DL).
