Other teams have played tougher schedules, but make no mistake there are a lot of teams that have had easier schedules.
Stanford has played 2 games on the road. One 2,500 miles away from home, and the other in 90 degree heat.
SJSU is 2-3. Duke is 3-2. Arizona is 1-4, but has lost to 3 Pac-10 teams and USC on the road. And UCLA is a respectable 2-3. Excluding their Stanford losses, the group has 8 wins and 8 losses. There are loads of teams that have played 4 or 5 games at home, or close to home, against teams with terrible records.
Wilner may use that weak schedule stuff as his newest excuse to keep Stanford out of the top 5, but there are many teams that have enjoyed a lot of cupcakes at home and are not even close to one turnover.
