For the casual fans:

1.  This is as elite a field as you see during the regular season: NC (2nd ranked), Florida (3), ASU (5), Oklahoma State (7), Texas (9), and home team Illinois (11).

2.  Vilips came to Stanford three years ago as the world's number one ranked junior, for over two years.  Perhaps this is the year he fulfills his apparent potential.

I know little about the other options for the 5th player.  Looking at the roster doesn't seem to make the question of 5th man any easier.  I would suppose Coach will give Greyserman at least another chance to show what he can do.  On paper he does seem like the most likely candidate.  Based on his Bio he should be playing better than he is at the moment.
