The Stanford women finished 2nd in the stroke play part of the competition and will face 1st place Wake Forest tomorrow in match play. These are the consensus top 2 teams in the country. As one of the Golf Channel commentators said, it's like Alabama vs. Georgia. A match-up of heavyweights.

Interestingly, the Stephens Cup organizers are going to alternate tee times for the men's and women's championship matches - a women's match starting at 1:20 eastern followed by a men's match starting at 1:30 eastern, etc. This will make it hard for the players to watch their teammates ahead of them and build off of their teammates' momentum. More work for the coaches too to go back and forth between matches.
