He went down like a warrior, helping lead his team to victory on national TV against Notre Dame. This was one of his best and most impactful games, despite the injury.
If he strangely wanted a sixth year, he could get it, right? The shortened 2020 didn’t count, and he only played four games in 2021. But it would make no sense in his case with respect to the NFL. If he does play a 6th year, it might be somewhere else (like Gabe Reid).
It’s a sad ending to his Stanford Football career - so many “what-ifs”. It seems like he was a promising, up-and-coming freshman just yesterday. But I’m sure he has enjoyed his time. He has the potential to stick somewhere as a UDFA.
