Last year we struggled against the press because our three starting guards (Wilson, Hullx2) were not good ball handlers.  Thus our PF (Jones) had to handle the ball and when she would outlet to Wilson or Lacie, they would not attack the basket but rather play it safe and pull the ball out and wait for the defense to reset.

My take is that in Wilson we had a good ball handler with so-so vision on the court, and with Jones we have a so-so ball handler with excellent vision on the court.  It is my hope that with Lepolo we have an excellent ball handler with excellent vision on the court.  And since I am greedy, I would like to see her offense and defense get up to Amber Orrange standards at least.

I think Lepolo showed us in the Portland game that she can put the ball in the hoop when she wants to.  However, she clearly has been focused on ball control and assists.  IMO, she only has to score enough to keep defenses honest.  On offense, we need her to protect the ball, break presses, and make assists.  So far, she has proven very effective.
