Maynard is better than Nunes. That should scare the living daylights out of Stanford football fans.
Nunes completes 53% of his passes. You just aren't going to score points with that low a completion percentage if you don't have guys who can score on big plays in the passing game. Stanford really doesn't.Â
The only silver lining is that Nunes is a first year starter and Maynard is a 3rd year starter, so Maybe Nunes will get better. If he does, it doesn't seem like it will be much better.Â
To me, David Shaw's decision making is a greater area of concern than Nunes' play at QB. I see so many common threads between Jeff Tedford and David Shaw. It's really disconcerting.Â
