Considering Maynard spent most of his life running for his life while Nunes had time to read the Sunday Times before picking where to throw the ball, not exactly a fair comparison. Neither looked good I think is fair to say.
The whole argument about taking 5-2 with wins over USC and UCB is just so silly to me. Yeah before the season I would take that too, but if someone had told me Jim Harbaugh would take us to a two straight bowl games I would've taken that too after what we were used to. Obviously far better that he took us to perhaps the best Stanford season in history.
Same thing here. Josh Nunes is 95th out of 122 QBs in terms of QB rating. If we had even an average NCAA quarterback, we'd probably be 7-0 and talking about NC champ possibilities, because of how freaking good our defense is.
