The horse racing parts of this thread make me miss Terry McGrath, who often reminisced with me on TOS about bygone days at Bay Meadows, Tanforan, and Golden Gate Fields.  Terry's in a good spot now.  He's got the first 5 races in the Pick Six with the last race wheeled.

McGrath... what a guy. Had a goat or goats in San Juan. We used to talk golf.

Used to cut seventh period on days that we weren't practicing at SI to hit Bay Meadows. Bet a little but I was there because of the athletes. Big fan of a horse called Most Host who once upset Damascus in the Strub Stakes at Santa Anita.
