Interesting insights on Pritchard.  Yes, maybe I am being unfair to him, but for me he is somehow the poster child of Shaw's "nurture the home-grown family" approach.  When Bloomgren left, there was much hope that Shaw would finally bring in a top-flight OC from another P5 program -- potentially even the kind of coach who could be viewed as an heir-apparent to Shaw.  During that same phase, fans were bemoaning the post-Hogan disarray in the QB position (Burns, Chryst, Costello), with each player showing retrograde rather than forward development.  Whose fault was this?  Pritchard's?  In any case, there was a big enough question mark on Pritchard to warrant a discussion about whether he was the right QB position coach.  But instead of that discussion and potentially a change, he got promoted.  At that point, I was convinced the program's downward slide was inevitable.  And my question was always: if Shaw's staff is so great, why aren't they getting poached for bigger roles elsewhere?  In any case, if Pritchard has a value to the organization, then maybe Taylor can find a spot for him.  I have nothing personal against him (and my opinion doesn't matter anyway, of course) -- I just see him as emblematic of all the staffing errors Shaw made during his tenure (fairly or unfairly).
