Yes we can. Let's just run goal line and I formations all game. Short pass and inside run plays with Stepfan. This is the winning strategy, IMO.
But can our secondary defend some passes? That's the question. We didn't do well against Arizona. Our secondary had trouble last season. For whatever reason our spread passing defense is weak. We do better against pro style passing attacks.
Maybe it's because we are too physical on defense? Not enough speed to defend? How can we do well stopping Marquis Lee and Robert Woods with Barkley throwing but we cannot defend the pass against teams like Washington State?
