Stanford was right there with Pepperdine until the final 4 holes, where Stanford went a combined +14 with 3 doubles and a triple. Nobody was immune from the collapse: Thorbjornsen (+5!!!!), Vilips (+2), Brown (+2), Ng (+3). Yang was E over the last 4 but was already +9 on the day and his score wasn't going to count. Thorbjornsen also had the individual lead going to 15.
The only silver lining is that this was in February and not April or March. Lots of time to right the ship before hosting Pac-12s and going to NCAAs
1. Pepperdine -8
2. Texas Tech -2
3. Stanford +5
T3. Thorbjornsen -4
T5. Vilips -2
T29. Brown +6
T42. Ng +8
T54. Yang +11
Next tournament is March 5-7 in Los Cabos, Mexico. I'm not sure this is going to be a fun couple of weeks. Coach Ray is likely pulling his hair out. Nothing frustrates him more than doubles and worse.
