which CA schools?
- UC Davis
- Sac State
- SJSU
- SDSU
- Fresno State
- USC - would they be interested?
- UCLA - would they be interested?
- Cal
- others?
which "top academic school"? How many would be interested especially if it means one less home game for them?

- Northwestern

My concern about going "independent" or being part of some lesser league is that the revenue stream from FB and BB is likely to decline significantly. Is the University going to be willing to cough up funds from other sources to keep our broad spectrum of Men's and Women's teams going?
What about all the scholarships for football and basketball players? If the AD is successful in redirecting some of that money to other sports, the other sports could cover some of the loss of TV money. Also, the FB and BB coaching salaries would go away.
