As we wrap up the women's golf season, our attention can shift to the men. They will be competing for the NCAA championship over the same course as the women (though playing about 900 yards longer and a par 70 vs. 72 for the women) and under the same format.
The men play a practice round on Thursday before teeing it up for real on Friday. They are the #6 seed and will play in the afternoon wave on Friday then turn around and play in the morning round on Saturday. The stroke play goal is the same as for the women - finish in the top 8 after 72 holes and advance to match play.
Stanford's lineup will be the same as it was at regionals:
Michael Thorbjornsen
Karl Vilips
Barclay Brown
Ethan Ng
Nate Menon
Dean Greyserman (alternate)
All of them have prior NCAA experience. Thorbjornsen, Vilips, Brown and Ng played Grayhawk in the NCAAs last year. Menon played a round as an alternate at NCAAs as a sophomore in 2019.
