Baseball just clinched the Director's Cup for Stanford!

By my spreadsheet above, it was the M T&F that clinched it, if you want to claim that for the team that happened to score the points when they became sufficient to guarantee the win, with other teams' (baseball) guaranteed positions.  Stanford could have lost the Super Regionals and still would have won the Director's Cup even if UT won the MCWS.

No, M T&F did not clinch the cup for Stanford.  It was baseball beating Texas.  If Texas had won, Stanford could have still won the Cup, but only with the help of other teams.  As of today, the current standings have Texas with 1306.5 points and Stanford with 1339 points.  If Texas had beaten Stanford, Stanford would have received 64 points, giving them 1403 points.  If Texas had won the CWS, they would have received 100 points and finished with 1406.5 points.  So, other teams would have had to give Texas 2 losses, ensuring that Texas would have received no more than 90 points.

You are correct; my spreadsheet was wrong.  I erred when I transcribed a score.

I also made an error in that the BVB tournament in 2023 did not have an elimination bracket, which changed the score for Stanford in 5th (where I used last year's 5th place points).

So, congratulations to Baseball which indeed did clinch the Director's Cup win.
